R&M Publishing Releases New Action Adventure, “Ring of Daggers”
R&M Publishing has made public the availability of its most recent publication, “Ring Of Daggers.” Penned by “Rae and Mark,” the book features an intriguing mix of murder, arcanum and age-old legend.
“After publishing our previous work, “Magic Squares,” we would have liked to author a book that made use of this unusual mathematical curiosity,” said “Rae and Mark.” “We’ve long enjoyed a good action-adventure book, so this seemed like the best genre for us.”
David Nelson is the hero of “Ring Of Daggers,” a maths teacher from an obscure boarding college in the northwest of Britain. While on a visit to Paris, Nelson happens upon an interesting and centuries-old artifact. The object is linked to an age-old folk-tale involving the Doomsday Calendar, and Nelson shortly finds himself embroiled in alife-threatening search that takes him around the planet to attempt to figure out the puzzle of the artifact and frustrate the attempts of a tiny band of zealots intent on vengeance, thus forestalling a tragedy of Biblical proportions. The globetrotting sleuth finds murder, adventure and love on his travels.
“Ring Of Daggers” incorporates elements of a prior book by “Rae and Mark” entitled “Magic Squares,” a rarely-understood mathematical curiosity going back to 2,800 B.C. Magic squares have been utilized in the East for hundreds of years as a technique of divination known as the Yantra, a practice thought by Eastern religions to have magical benefits.
The couple’s first book, “Magic Squares,” was written as a reference book. The writing partners have flexed their writing muscle in “Ring Of Daggers” to form a tale which will appeal to enthusiasts of enigmas, adventure stories and intriguing legends.
R&M Publishing is a quite new venture, but the couple behind it have big plans for the small publishing house. Plans are in the works to open the publisher’s doors to a great range of further options including eBooks and print-on-demand.
“Ring Of Daggers” can be obtained from Amazon.com and other outlets following its official publication.
